Milwaukee County sponsors recreational activities designed for people with disabilities at two facilities located in county parks in South Milwaukee and Wauwatosa called the Wil-O-Way Recreation Centers. Recreation programs are offered during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Programming is available to individuals with disabilities ages 16 and up through the Wil-O-Way Recreation Center. Activities are planned for weekdays and weekends, afternoons and evenings, and include exciting offerings such as bowling, ceramics, cooking classes, community outings and Friday night dances!
Recreation Program Registration
Camp Wil-O-Way is sponsored by Milwaukee County and coordinated and staffed by Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin. The summer day camp program operates at Wil-O-Way Grant and Wil-O-Way Underwood.
Wil-O-Way Summer Day Camp Program provides campers with opportunities for social interaction, self-expression and entertainment. The Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin staff organizes activities of arts and crafts, games, music, nature, sports, and special events. This program helps campers maintain basic motor skills, increases recreation skills, encourages maximum use of unstructured time and increases capacities for self-expression.
Wil-O-Way is a place that welcomes campers who may not have other opportunities to participate in a summer camp experience. The staff strives to adjust the program and process to accommodate each camper's needs. When applying it is very important that the Behavioral and Care Information Sections are answered as accurately and honestly as possible. We look for ways to include rather than exclude and accurate information will help us serve all campers.
Important Note: This camp is not to be considered as a behavior treatment program.

The Milwaukee County Office for Persons with Disabilities presents Wil-O-Way Disc Golf, specifically designed with persons with disabilities in mind. These two, three-hole courses have shorter distances and far less challenging terrain than your traditional disc golf course. These courses are beginner friendly and will help you develop your game. We would like to thank Terry Miller of Lifetime Disc Sports for his inspiration on course design, development of the course and involvement in the community not only with Disc Golf, but also with persons with disabilities as well.
