Milwaukee County Disc Golf

Ten disc golf courses are available for play during the Disc Golf Season. Play any of the five short practice courses for free, or get an annual permit for unlimited play on the five full courses. Players age 21 and over with annual permits may bring alcohol onto the course. Most courses open from May 1 through October. Dineen is open year-round, and a winter course is available at Dretzka Park.

Annual Permits

Purchase an annual permit to use all the paid courses throughout the season.

Annual Permit (Bag Tag): $40/player/calendar year (including tax)
Reissue of lost or stolen Annual Permit: $21.10 (incuding tax)

Purchase at the on-site self-pay station or online.

Self-Serve Online Purchase Available 7 Days a Week from 5 a.m. – Midnight

Any transaction not completed by 1 a.m. will be rejected as the system performs updates (from 1 – 5 a.m.)

Daily Permits

Player age 17 and up: $5 (including tax) Fee also charged for tournament permit holders
Daily Permits are available at on-site self-pay stations only!


On-Site Self-Pay Stations

Pay-to-play courses have on-site self-pay stations with payment envelopes. To purchase a permit:

  1. Fill out the payment envelope and include cash for a daily or annual permit
  2. Tear off the receipt to show to a park ranger as proof of payment.
  3. Drop the payment in the secure box
  4. If you purchased an annual permit, keep the receipt until you receive your bag-tag permit in the mail.

Brown Deer Disc Golf Course

Now Open for the 2021 Season 

A scenic and challenging 21-hole course with tight fairways, a few water hazards, and several long and open holes. Each hole has multiple pin locations.

Dineen Disc Golf Course

Closed until further notice due to park renovation

Rolling hills and scattered trees add to the challenge of this 18-hole course, which features concrete tee pads. This is the only Milwaukee County Parks course that stays open year round.

Dretzka Disc Golf Course

Now Open for the 2021 Season 

Dretzka is a scenic, world-class course with a standard 18-hole course and an additional 9-hole loop. The course features multiple tees, elevation changes, wooded areas and several blind holes.

Estabrook Disc Golf Course

Now Open for the 2021 Season  

Estabrook offers 18 short and technical holes, with at least three pin positions for each hole. From May to October you can finish your round at the Estabrook Beer Garden.

Root River Disc Golf Course

Target Opening Date: May 1, 2021

The 18-hole Root River course features several full-wooded holes, as well as open holes and holes where the Root River comes into play.

Host a Disc Golf League

All disc golf courses are available to rent for league play. League events are non-exclusive, so courses will remain open to the public during the rental.

A League Sanction Fee is required in addition to a participant daily/seasonal pass fee. League play is limited to run at one specific course for no more than one day per week (Monday - Friday) for a maximum 12-week period. A schedule must be provided to the sports office along with other information as it pertains to the specific league.

League Fee: $100 per league, per course

Vendor Fee: $50 per vendor (required for sale of merchandise)

Host a Disc Golf Tournament

All disc golf course are available to rent for tournament play. Tournament rentals are exclusive, so courses are not open to the public during the rental time.

One Day - One Course Fee: $210

One Day - Two Course Fee: $350

Two Day - One Course Fee: $315

Vendor Permit (Single Day): $125 per course, per day (required for sale of merchandise)

Vendor Permit (Seasonal): $250 per course
