Milwaukee County Disc Golf

Bring your own discs for play during the disc golf season. Courses have a mix of beginner and technically challenging holes, with obstacles for you to navigate. Terrain varies. Play any of the short practice courses for free or buy a permit for unlimited play on the full courses. Permits are available for the day or the year! Players age 21 and over with permits may bring alcohol onto the course.

Disc Golf Course Hours: Dawn – Dusk.

Single-Day Permits

Purchase a Single-Day Permit to use any of the six full courses on the same day.

Player age 17 and up: $6 (includes tax)
This fee also applies to tournament permit holders

Annual Permits

Purchase an Annual Permit to use all six full courses throughout the season. 

Annual Permit (Bag Tag): $44/player/calendar year (includes tax)
Reissue of lost or stolen Annual Permit: $23.75 (includes tax)

Disc Golf Open Status

  • Disc Golf Courses typically remain open during inclement weather. Use your best judgement, and in case of lightning, don't go near the metal cages.
  • Tournaments may affect open status.
  • Play for free at any of the practice courses:
    • Froemming Park - 9 holes
    • Doctor's Park - 2 holes
    • Kops Park - 2 holes
    • Wil-o-Way Grant - 3 holes
    • Wil-o-Way Underwood - 3 holes

Brown Deer Disc Golf Course

7625 N. Range Line Road, Milwaukee

A scenic and challenging 21-hole course with tight fairways, a few water hazards, and several long and open holes. Each hole has multiple pin locations.

Dineen Disc Golf Course

6600 W. Keefe Ave., Milwaukee

Rolling hills and scattered trees add to the challenge of this 18-hole course, which features concrete tee pads. This is the only Milwaukee County Parks course that stays open year round.

Dretzka Disc Golf Course

12020 W. Bradley Road, Milwaukee

Dretzka is a scenic, world-class course with a standard 18-hole course and an additional 9-hole loop. The course features multiple tees, elevation changes, wooded areas and several blind holes.

Estabrook Disc Golf Course

4400 N. Estabrook Drive, Milwaukee

Estabrook offers 18 short and technical holes, with at least three pin positions each. From May to October, you can finish your round at the Estabrook Beer Garden.

Madison Park Disc Golf Course

9800 W. Glendale Ave., Wauwatosa, WI 53225

On a former old-ball par 3 course, the newest disc golf course is cart friendly, with open fields and some tight wooded shots. The beginner-friendly course offers mostly par 3s. DISCatcher Pro baskets and rubber tees are featured.

The 18-hole Root River course features several fully-wooded holes, open holes, and holes where the Root River comes into play. The course is open, conditions permitting.

Group Single-Use, League and Tournament Permits

All disc golf course are available to rent for tournament or league play. Tournament rentals are exclusive, so courses are not open to the public during the rental time. 

League events are non-exclusive, so courses will remain open to the public during the rental. A league permit is required in addition to a participant daily/seasonal pass fee. League play is limited to run at one specific course for no more than one day per week (Monday-Friday) for a maximum 12-week period. A schedule must be attached to the application.

Disc Golf Permit Applications must be turned in at least 30 days in advance and will have additional permit requirements. Visit the link below for rules, regulations and the application.
