Partners of the Parks
Many of the programs, events and projects in Milwaukee County Parks are made possible through the efforts of the Milwaukee Parks Foundation, The Park People, and various local park friends groups and neighborhood associations. Numerous non-profit groups volunteer their time on a range of activities – from hosting summer concerts and fundraising to weeding and presenting educational programs.
For hands-on work and meaningful connections within the community, join a group and get involved! If you don't see your favorite park listed, consider starting your own.

Milwaukee Parks Foundation
Milwaukee Parks Foundation provides support to Milwaukee County Parks, complementing Parks operations while cultivating philanthropic support and community involvement. While MPF works closely with Milwaukee County Parks, it is a separate, nonprofit organization. Its efforts aim to foster dynamic connections through our land and community, engaging residents in supporting a safe and vibrant park system that benefits all.

The Park People
Since 1977, The Park People of Milwaukee County, Inc. has helped to ensure a vibrant Milwaukee County park system by mobilizing community volunteers, leading initiatives such as Weed-Out, offering tangible tributes/memorials such as commemorative benches and trees, and increasing community awareness.
The Park People also operates as an umbrella organization for many park-specific friends groups throughout Milwaukee County.
