Today, at about 2:15 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a sick driver on the I-41/US-45 northbound to I-94 westbound ramp to Highway 100 in the zoo interchange.
The vehicle, a silver Dodge Ram, was in the right distress lane and the passenger was outside saying the driver was not breathing.

Identity of Inmate Released

The identity of the Milwaukee County Jail inmate who died at the hospital on December 18 can now be released. Brian Collins, Jr., age 32, of Milwaukee, had been in custody since May 12. Collins had complained of abdominal pain on Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. and was taken to the county jail medical clinic in a wheelchair. The nurse practitioner in the clinic determined he should be transported to the hospital for evaluation. He was transported at 8:00 a.m. by Bell Ambulance and died at the hospital at 2:24 p.m. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the death investigation.

Man Jumps to his Death From High Rise Bridge

At about 10:25 a.m., deputies responded to calls regarding a pedestrian outside of his car looking over the ledge on the High Rise Bridge on I-43 northbound near National Avenue. Before they arrived, dispatchers reported that video footage showed that the subject had jumped over the concrete barrier 110 feet to the ground below. Deputies attempted life-saving measures until Milwaukee Fire Department emergency personnel arrived. The man was pronounced dead at 10:50 a.m. Sheriff’s detectives are conducting the death investigation.
