Caring for Our Parks

Our mission is to steward a thriving park system that positively impacts every Milwaukee County Parks visitor.

Operations & Conservation

Overseeing 16,000 acres of both managed and natural areas of park land, you'll see our operations crew throughout the year maintaining the parks through duties such as trash pickup, forestry management, trail maintenance, graffiti removal, snow removal, athletic-field preparation, rentals preparation, and mowing.

The Natural Areas Team oversees thousands of acres of open space, including beaches, ephemeral ponds, and prairies. The team monitors native and invasive plants and animals in Milwaukee County.

The Engagement arm of this team conducts public surveys through input meetings and outreach to ensure public approval.
