Children and young adults are a part of the children's system of care that aims to enhance community wellbeing. It is a countywide integrated network of resources which require shared responsibility and accountability to assure that Milwaukee County families have access to the services, programs and supports they need. Children, young adults and their families will have support to thrive, actively participate in their community and experience life in an inclusive way which is meaningful to them. While partnering with families, the local system of care integrates the work of disabilities services, family and treatment courts, youth justice, health, mental health, child welfare, education, and other community organizations through team decision-making and addressing inequities.
Screeners will work with the family to determine if the youth meets the enrollment criteria for the following programs:

Comprehensive Community Services
Youth Connect
Family Intervention Support & Services (FISS)
Children's Community Options Program (CCOP)
Children's Long-Term Support Waiver (CLTS)

The Children’s Mobile Crisis Team is a mental health crisis team licensed by the State of Wisconsin that serves Milwaukee County youth. CMC Team was created to help children and teenagers in crisis. CMC Team responds to a wide range of needs in homes, schools and throughout the community, wherever children and families need help to reduce a crisis, solve a problem or assess a need.
CMC Team is available by phone, 24-hours-a-day, and is available to come where needed from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays. Call 24/7.
