Splash Pads & Wading Pools

About Splash Pads & Wading Pools

Young children can stay cool with free-to-use splash pads and wading pools scheduled to open daily from June 20th to August 17th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

*Note: Wading Pools and Splash pads are turned on when it's 72 degrees or above. Plan ahead by viewing the All Aquatics Open Status page to ensure your desired spot is open!

Splash Pads

Interactive water-toys and spray posts encourage children to play in the water. All splash pads in Milwaukee County Parks are free to use. Features vary by location.  

 

Wading Pools

Wading pools are about 18 inches deep, at the deepest point. These pools have adjacent restrooms and changing facilities. 

 

Rules for Splash Pads & Wading Pools

  • Children age 7 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver age 12 or older.
  • Youths age 12 and older are only allowed at the splash pads and wading pools if younger children are in their care or if the youth is accompanied by an adult.
  • Children and youths are required to wear proper swimming attire. Swimming diapers are required for all children who are not potty-trained.
