Splash Pads & Wading Pools
Young children can stay cool with free-to-use splash pads and wading pools from mid-June to mid-August. (As an amenity to the deep-well pool in Sheridan Park, a shallow pool is available with regular admission – ideal for families with both toddlers and bigger kids who swim.)
Splash Pads
Interactive water-toys, spray posts, and more encourage children to play in the water. All splash pads in Milwaukee County Parks are free to use. Features vary by location.
Wading Pools
Wading pools are about 18 inches deep, at the deepest point. These pools have adjacent restrooms and changing facilities. Pools typically open when the temperature is over 72 degrees during open hours (shown in the "Pool Open Status" link above).
Rules for Splash Pads & Wading Pools
- Children age 7 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver age 12 or older.

- Children and youths are required to wear proper swimming attire. Swimming diapers are required for all children who are not potty-trained.
