Effective July 1, 2019, the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board adopted the BHS Provider Network Credentialing Program, which has since been expanded and is now the BHS Medical Staff and Provider Network Credentialing Program. The purpose of the Credentialing Program is to support a single and systematic approach to credentialing for BHS Medical Staff and for practitioners within the BHS Provider Network. All community contracted providers need to be familiar with the policy CARS Housing Guidelines for Case Management Providers policy.
Housing Collaborative: All CARS contracted providers and each case manager/care coordinator is welcome to attend a monthly collaboration meeting regarding Housing. Meetings will include updates from our partners at the Milwaukee County Housing Division, Sharing of Resources, Networking, and Complex Case Reviews.
Housing Collaborative meetings will take place on the Second Monday of each month from 1 PM to 2:30 PM.
Interested in getting even more involved? Stay on the meeting from 2:30 PM to 3 PM to be a part of our Steering Committee.
Any staff that attends the Housing Collaborative will be considered a Housing Champion! Our goal is to build a network of staff that are knowledgeable about housing in the Milwaukee community. We want as many Housing Champions as possible!
