Milwaukee County residents experiencing behavioral health crises deserve trained professionals to serve them during their most vulnerable moments. Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services is hiring Mobile Clinicians to join our team. This licensed clinician provides comprehensive assessment, de-escalation, stabilization and linkage to resources for individuals experiencing a mental health or co-occurring mental health, substance use crisis. Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services has career opportunities on Milwaukee Mobile Crisis (MKE Mobile Crisis) and Crisis Assessment Response Team (CART).

The Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team supports callers on the Milwaukee County Crisis Line and provides mental health crisis responses and intervention to individuals of all ages in the community. The team also provides mental health assessments, assistance with stabilization and connections to ongoing resources. Milwaukee Mobile Crisis is a multidisciplinary team composed of therapists, social workers and nurses. This non-police mobile response provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Interested in joining the team as a Mobile Crisis Clinician? Milwaukee Mobile Crisis is accepting applications and looking for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a closely related field with appropriate valid state licensure. Supervised on-site hours are offered for those pursuing full licensure.

The Crisis Assessment Response Team (CART) clinician will work in partnership with law enforcement for co-response to mental health emergency calls. CART responds to 911 dispatch and requests from other police officers or mobile clinicians for mental health emergencies. The focus of the services CART provides is to assist individuals to stabilize in the community, link them to appropriate resources and divert from detention or arrest. CART currently operates in collaboration with the Milwaukee Police Department, West Allis Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
