The Older Americans Act requires that Area Agencies on Aging create a plan every three years to outline their goals in serving the older adults in their area. This plan includes predefined categories as well as local priorities identified through public input. The Commission on Aging affirmed a new vision as the Area Agency on Aging for Milwaukee County: The Aging Network will improve the health and well-being for all older adult residents of Milwaukee County by acknowledging and overcoming structural racism, promoting health equity, improving communication and collaboration, and addressing all dimensions of wellness.
