The Milwaukee County Youth Commission provides young people in Milwaukee County with a unique experience in community service, civic engagement, and policy and budget decision-making.
Youth commissioners receive $12.50 per hour for active participation in Youth Commission meetings and activities. In addition, commissioners receive technology support to participate in remote meetings as well as transportation and a meal for in-person meetings, which generally take place on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. except during the August recess. The Youth Commission has direct access to a group of five adult advisors, one of which is appointed by the Youth Commission.
Applications for the 2025 Term are now closed except for vacancies. The following district is still open for the 2025 term: 12th. Applications for this district will remain open until this vacancy is filled.
