Elijah Sarsour
Youth Commissioner Elijah Sarsour
Dear Neighbors,
I chose to serve on the Milwaukee Youth Commission because it is essential to equip youth with a voice to address the issues their community faces. The Youth Commission equips me with the ability to actualize the changes that fellow youth in the same district seek to implement and be a staple within my community that continuously makes positive changes for fellow youth. My favorite part of serving on the Youth Commission is the interactions I am able to have with fellow youth as well as the ability to propose the reallocation of government funding that is relevant to my community. I value the voice of youth in my district and seek to amplify their voice regarding issues they may face, especially issues like youth homelessness, educational inequities, and racial disparities. Please reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or recommendations for how I may better serve my community.
