Youth Commissioner Summer Laster
Dear Neighbors,
I chose to serve on the Milwaukee County Youth Comission to help make decisions that have a positive and long lasting impact on people in Milwaukee, especially youth. One of my passions is helping young people achieve better mental health, and being on the Youth Commision provides the opportunity for me to listen to the concerns of young people, and to do my best to voice these concerns and help make Milwaukee a better place for young people to call home. Biography
Summer is a junior in high school who has a strong passion for mental health, well being, and helping other people. At school, Summer is part of the Nueroscience Club, Cognitive and Behavioral Club, and the Bible Study Club which she has previously led. Summer has also helped give science lectures to students in Africa, and is looking forward to doing more of that in the future.
Summer can't wait to serve Milwaukee and to meet and help youth like her!
