Youth Commissioner Kennedy Slaasted
Dear Neighbors,
I chose to serve on Milwaukee Youth Commission because it is important to give youth representation in decisions that impact their future. Serving on the Youth Commission gives me the opportunity to be the voice for my peers and truly make a difference in my community. My favorite part about serving on the Youth Commission is the unique opportunity it provides to learn about my local government and see my community from new perspectives. I get to use my role to make a difference in issues that matter to me, like creating a community where racial equity is a standard and educating my peers on how they can use their voice through voting. Please feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas on how we can make a better Milwaukee County.
