Workforce Training and Development

DHHS New Employee Orientation, HealthStream, and Coaching

What We Do

Under the direction of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Workforce Training and Development designs, delivers and/or facilitate various types of trainings (e.g., onboarding, regulatory, certification, skill-based, mindset and practice, internships) for DHHS employees, contracted employees, students/interns and community-based providers.

DHHS New Employee Orientation

DHHS New Employee Orientation (NEO) occurs every other Monday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is held at the Marcia P. Coggs Building. Attendance is mandatory for all DHHS staff. Since NEO is dedicated to a full day, we will watch the countywide virtual orientation together as a group. Then we will continue the day with DHHS presentations that cover an array of topics that are vital to new employees:

  • DHHS Overview
  • DHHS Strategic Plan
  • DHHS Work Guide
