Boating / Launch Permits

Daily and Seasonal Launch permits are good for use at these locations:

If you do not have a launch permit, you will be ticketed.
 

Types of Launch Permits

  • Daily Permits: Available ONLY at the McKinley Marina Office during regular hours OR at any launch-site self-pay station.

  • Seasonal Permits: Available at the McKinley Marina Office during regular hours or online from 5 a,m. – midnight, seven days a week. Any online transaction not completed by 1 a.m. will be rejected as the system performs updates (from 1 – 5 a.m.)

Launch Rates

Launch rates are based on the type of watercraft to be launched and the residency of the applicant.
In the list below, "Resident" refers to a Milwaukee County Resident; a "Non-Resident" does not live in Milwaukee County.

Resident Launch Rates:
Daily / Seasonal/ Senior Seasonal for 60+

Rates include sales tax

  • Jet Ski: $13 / $130 / $102.75
  • Non-Motorized Vessel: $8.25 / $82.50 / $56.25
  • Vessel Under 20 feet: $13 / $130 / $102.75
  • Vessel 20-26 feet: $16.50 / $165 / $112.50
  • Vessel Over 26 feet: $18.50 / $185 / $143.25

Non-Resident Launch Rates:
Daily / Seasonal/ Senior Seasonal for 60+

Rates include sales tax

  • Jet Ski: $13.50 / $135 / $128
  • Non-Motorized Vessel: $8.25 / $82.50 / $72
  • Vessel Under 20 feet: $13.50 / $135 / $128
  • Vessel 20-26 feet: $20.50 / $205 / $143.25
  • Vessel Over 26 feet: $26.75 / $267.50 / $163.75
