In 2020, South Shore's launch piers were not installed due to high water in Lake Michigan and the degraded seawall in the South Shore basin. Together, these events left no protection to prevent the launch piers from breaking loose in a storm. Launching at South Shore without piers in place is at the boat owner's own risk. Instead, use launch sites with piers at McKinley, Riverfront and Bender. The availability of launch piers at South Shore for the 2021 season will be determined in Spring 2021.
The Lakefront Pavilion provides lower-level restroom and shower facilities, and the upper level is available to rent.
The roundhouse is home to the marina offices.
Annual and daily dry-sail storage is available for your trailer and boat. The area offers 24-hour access, security, water and electricity. After the official boating season, this area is used for winter storage. Keep your boat on its trailer or have it trucked in and placed on your jack stands.
Full-service fuel docks with pump-out facilities and a convenience/ships store with marine maintenance and safety supplies are also available. For an annual rental application or for more information, call (414) 273-5224.
