The annual July 3 tradition continues in 2019. Head to Veterans Park on Wednesday July 3 for an evening of fireworks and fun to celebrate Independence Day.
Milwaukee Lakefront, July 3, 9:30 p.m.
Head to the lakefront for a 45-minute display presented by American Family Insurance, T&M Partners, Milwaukee Brewers, Christian Yelich and Milwaukee County Parks! The show will start around 9:30 p.m. when fireworks are launched from barges on Lake Michigan.
Veterans Park, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Giant kite displays and kite flying lessons will be held in a special kite flying area in Veterans Park all day on July 3. The event is hosted by the Gift of Wings kite shop. Bring your own kite or buy one to take home.
Parking operations at the lakefront will begin at 6 a.m. on July 3. All lots can be accessed from Lincoln Memorial Drive and are first-come, first-served. There are no in-out privileges once a vehicle enters the grounds. No overnight parking is allowed. All vehicles are asked to leave the grounds after the fireworks display has concluded.
The Wisconsin Alestream will be pouring beers from four local breweries all day. Bring your own glass to save a couple of bucks with "refill rates." Proceeds from beer sales help support future park projects.
