J109-19426: House of Correction - North Building (590 Dormitory) Roof Replacement
Remove and dispose of existing sheet metal flashings, four-ply asphalt bituminous roof system, flashings, rigid insulation, base sheet/vapor retarder, and existing wood blocking down to precast concrete roof deck. Provide venting base sheet atop precast concrete roof deck, mechanically attached. Provide a two-ply asphalt bituminous vapor barrier atop the vented base sheet, adhered in asphalt bitumen. Provide a 1/16-inch per lineal foot tapered rigid insulation; with 3 1/2-inch start at the perimeter of the internal roof drain sump. Transition from tapered insulation to flat stock rigid insulation system once the 4-way tapered insulation system intersects with the south elevation's low rise parapet. Provide an asphalt bituminous built-up roof system a top the cover board, adhered in asphalt bitumen. Provide an asphalt bituminous flood coat and aggregate surface.
