Rent a Space

From shows and performances, to picnic parties and events, dozens of unique venues and open-air spaces are available to rent within Milwaukee County Parks. Small and large expo and meeting spaces are also available at various Milwaukee County Parks facilities including the Sports Complex, Boerner Botanical Gardens, Kosciuszko Community Center and King Community Center.

Become a Vendor in the Parks

If you want to offer a service or product for sale in a County Park, such as a guided tour, craft booths, food or beverage truck, fitness class or fundraiser, you’ll need a Vendor Permit. Fees vary based on the type of vendor operation and location.

Host a Special Event

Some of Milwaukee’s most popular annual events, including Bastille Days, Firkin Fest, Lakefront Marathon and Chill on the Hill are held in County Parks. Apply for a Special Events Permit to host a public event on a park site, parkway or park road.

Lake Park Bistro

The highly-rated Lake Park Bistro has offered a romantic French dining experience in the historic Lake Park pavilion since 1995. The Bartolotta Restaurant Group leases the building from Milwaukee County Parks and has invested in the preservation of the historic building.

China Lights Lantern Festival: featuring a 120-foot-long sculptural dragon lantern

China Lights

Sculptural lanterns as large as 3-stories high light up the night during China Lights, at Boerner Botanical Gardens from September to October. The partnership between Milwaukee County Parks and Tianyu Arts & Culture has brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in ticket sales, which has helped fund improvements at the botanical gardens.

Re:Craft & Relic: shoppers stop at vendor booths of makers, vintage curators, and pop-up boutiques at the 55,000-square-foot Milwaukee County Sports Complex

Re:Craft & Relic

Since 2015, Re:Craft & Relic, Southeastern Wisconsin's largest marketplace event of makers, vintage curators, and pop-up boutiques has produced three events each year at the 55,000-square-foot Milwaukee County Sports Complex. Events attract 160 – 180 vendors and 5,000 – 7,000 shoppers. While the indoor infrastructure makes doing business easier for vendors, free parking in the 5-acre lot is a real bonus for shoppers!
