
Pools Rules and Regulations
When additional rules or regulations are required for the safety or proper behavior of patrons, lifeguards and supervisory staff are authorized to enforce them.
- Pool features may have specific height or swimming requirements, including but not limited to diving boards, slides, and designated pool areas.
- For your safety, children under 12 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian.
- • 1 adult for every 2 children age 4 and under.
• 1 adult for every 3 children between 5 - 7 years old.
• 1 adult for every 5 children between 8 -11 years old.
- • 1 adult for every 2 children age 4 and under.
- Proper swim attire is required to enter the pool.
- Persons who are not toilet trained or are under the age of 3 must wear a swim diaper in the pool. Diaper changing on the pool deck is prohibited.
- Shower before entering the pool and after using the restroom.
- Do not enter the pool if you have a communicable disease or open cut.
- Do not run or engage in rough play in the pool area, both in and out of the water.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard–approved flotation devices are allowed, and only under adult supervision. While in use, children must remain within arm’s reach of an adult. Flotation devices are not permitted on waterslides or diving boards.
- All other flotation devices, snorkels, and mermaid tails are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: water wings, noodles, inflatables, and any non-approved personal flotation devices.
- Prolonged breath-holding is not allowed.
- Diving is only allowed in the diving well or designated diving areas. No head-first entries, flips, or splash dives are permitted from the pool edge.
- No hanging on ropes or lane lines. Swimming underneath them is also not allowed.
- Pets are not allowed in the pool area. Service dogs performing a task for a person in accordance with ADA guidelines are permitted.
- The use of cell phones and other recording devices is prohibited in all locker rooms, bathrooms, and changing areas.
- Do not bring outside food, drinks, or gum into the pool area. This includes carry-ins, coolers, alcohol, etc.
- Glass and other shatterable items are not allowed.
- The use of tobacco products, smoking, or electronic cigarettes is prohibited within the fenced pool area.
- No refunds will be issued for unexpected closures, including those due to inclement weather or contamination.
- Do not leave valuables unsecured. Milwaukee County Parks is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers may be available for a minimal fee.
- Patrons leaving the facility who wish to return must obtain a hand stamp from admissions staff or be a valid pass holder.
Large Waterslide Rules
- A height requirement and/or swimming ability may be required to use the slides.
- Exit the plunge area immediately after sliding.
- Additional waterslide-specific rules are posted at the facility.
