Located in King Park, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center serves Milwaukee's near west side, offering a wide variety fitness, recreation and programming opportunities to area residents. An annual membership or a day pass is required for entry to the facility.
King Center Memberships include access to the fitness center, weight room and boxing ring.

Membership of the King Center includes access to the fitness center, weight room and boxing ring.
From September to May the gym is available for open gym basketball or for indoor walking. A mask must be worn at all times.

Through partnerships with area organizations, a variety of enrichment and social activities are available at the King Center.
January
Each year, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an event of music, dance, spoken work, and more. The presentation is at the King Center auditorium.
mid-March to mid-April
Gather the kids and arrive early -- only a limited number of children can participate! Enjoy egg painting, the egg hunt, and fun for the whole family!
July
In partnership with the City of Milwaukee, the King Center offers a day of fun and games, a picnic, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Talent Contest. (No fireworks at this location.)
August
Families look forward to our annual event that brings the community together with a festival and school-supply giveaways.
September - November
In September, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the We Care Crew begin taking donations for the “Make a Family Smile Turkey Giveaway.” Just before Thanksgiving, about 3,000 families receive the turkeys purchased through these generous donations.
