Located in King Park, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center serves Milwaukee's near west side, offering a wide variety fitness, recreation and programming opportunities to area residents. An annual membership or a day pass is required for entry to the facility.

Sports & Fitness
Membership of the King Center includes access to the fitness center, weight room and boxing ring.
From September to May the gym is available for open gym basketball or for indoor walking.
A mask must be worn at all times.

Programs & Partnerships
Through partnerships with area organizations, a variety of enrichment and social activities are available at the King Center.
King Day Celebration
Every January we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an event of music, dance and more, inside the King Center auditorium.
Back to School Festival
Our annual event, held every August, brings the community together with a festival and school supply giveaway.
& Make A Family Smile Turkey Giveaway
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the We Care Crew present “Make a Family Smile Turkey Giveaway.” Donations are accepted to purchase turkeys for about 3,000 families. Like last year, due to COVID, this year's event will be a drive-through pickup.
