Veterans Park
Veterans Park, along Lake Michigan's shore, offers a kite store, large open grassy areas, a section of the paved Oak Leaf Trail, and a 14-acre lagoon with paddle boat rentals. To commemorate each branch of the military services, the park features a court of honor.
Go for a Bike Ride
Explore the Oak Leaf Trail along the lakefront with a bike rental in the park. Choose from single-, double- and triple-surrey bikes, sporty deuce coupes, turbo bikes and a variety of traditional two-wheel bikes! Rent your ride from the Wheel Fun Rentals south location, near the kite store.
Get on the Water
Glide across the lagoon at Veterans Park on a swan pedal boat, kayak or canoe! A great way to take in views along the lakefront. Rent watercraft at the Wheel Fun Rentals north location at the lagoon.
Fly a Kite
The breeze off Lake Michigan at Veterans Park creates the perfect spot to fly a kite. Don't have a kite? Buy one at Gift of Wings, a kite store in the park. This kite store also presents four free kite festivals each year and free movies in the summer.
Join a Run/Walk & Do Good!
