About Kosciuszko Community Center

Located in historic Kosciuszko Park, the Kosciuszko Community Center serves Milwaukee's south side, offering a wide variety of fitness and recreation programs. You must purchase a membership or day pass to enter the facility. Inside the community center is a gymnasium, fitness center, boxing ring, and women-only weight room. In the summer, Kosciuszko Park offers picnic areas, tennis courts, and plenty of green space

Member Open Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adult Open Gym Hours

  • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Family Open Gym Hours

  • Mondays & Wednesdays, 3 to 5 p.m.

Holiday Hours

NOTE: Closed all major holidays with the exception of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth. 

  • Jan. 20 (Monday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • June 19 (Thursday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Nov. 28 (Friday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Dec. 24 (Thursday): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fitness Center and Weight Room

Members have access to free weights, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, tread mills, and weight / strength machines. Get instruction on proper use of equipment when staff is available.

Children under 15 are NOT allowed in the weight room at any time.

Women-Only Weight Room 

A space just for women, with free weights, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, tread mills, weight / strength machines and steps. Get instruction on proper use of equipment when staff is available.

Gymnasium / Basketball Court

From September to May the gym is available for open gym basketball or for indoor walking, running, agility drills, tire-flipping, and jumping rope.
Open Basketball Hours: Call the Center for dates and times.

Boxing Ring 

The boxing area includes a 20-by-20 boxing ring, heavy bags, speed bags, and a double-end bag. Bring your own boxing gloves, mouth guard, and hand wraps.

Memberships (fee includes sales tax)

Kozy Center Memberships include access to the fitness center, weight room and boxing ring.

Rentals

Host your party, athletic event or business meeting at the center! Rentals must not conflict with the Center's programming schedule and are subject to staff availability. Reservations are not accepted for Jan. 1, July 4, Dec. 24, 25 or 31. To book, call (414) 645-4624

Private Rental Availability

  • Tuesdays - 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesdays - 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Thursdays - 3 to 8 p.m.

Programs & Partnerships

Through partnerships with area organizations, a variety of enrichment and social activities are available at the Kosciuszko Community Center.

Kosciuszko Community Center Advisory Board

Kosciuszko Advisory Board (KAB) is a 501(c)3 organization that raises funds through charitable donations and events. The organization supports Kosciuszko Community Center, its activities and its programs. The Board's ultimate goal is to support healthy and educational opportunities to empower the community. Martial Arts Dojo

Karate for ages 5 to adult. All skill levels are welcome. For details, speak with the instructors on-site.

Milwaukee Christian Center

Milwaukee Christian Center (MCC) serves people from age 7 to 19. Activities include tutoring for homework and literacy, fitness, games, and contests. For details, call (414) 645-8441 or visit the MCC website.

 

Summit Education Association

Summit fosters relationships between dedicated mentors, parents and children to encourage intellectual, cultural and moral growth. Activities include tutoring, recreation, developing friendships, and a virtue-based character program. For details, call (414) 672-1786 or visit the Summit website.

All events are limited seating and require advance registration. Visit the center in-person to sign up!

Easter Egg-Citement

April

Easter Egg-Citement includes an outdoor egg hunt, indoor games, arts and crafts, a visit with the Easter Bunny, lunch, and more.

Resource Fair & Trick-or-Treating

October

Calling all good "ghouls and boos"! (That's Halloween talk for "girls and boys.") Come with your family for a fun night out. Take part in the costume contest and enjoy safe trick-or-treating and spooky activities! Bring home some great information from the community resource vendors.

Breakfast with Santa

December

Gather the family and get into the holiday spirit! Enjoy a pancake breakfast, activities for the kids, and a visit with the jolly old elf.
