Statement of the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office Related to Criminal Charges Issued for Crimes Committed During Recent Public Demonstrations.

On April 20, 2018, a Milwaukee County jury returned with guilty verdicts on 10 of 11 charges against Dante Fields. Dante Fields was charged as a domestic violence repeat offender in four different criminal cases with offenses that spanned a two-year time frame. Fields engaged in victim intimidation in an attempt to escape criminal responsibility. Based on Fields’ conduct, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office was able to proceed to trial even though the victim did not appear. Dante Fields will be sentenced on June 1, 2018, before the Honorable Cynthia Davis.
