Purpose
Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office Victim Witness Services Program, created in 1974, is the oldest program in the country. Victim Witness Services Division ensures all victims and witnesses of crime are treated with fairness, dignity and respect. Advocates assist victims/witnesses and their families throughout the criminal court process to access services and exercise their rights afforded by Wisconsin Statute 950 and the Wisconsin Constitution.
