Kent Lovern
Milwaukee County District Attorney
Kent Lovern is the District Attorney for Milwaukee County, where he is responsible for an office comprised of over 125 attorneys and over 175 support staff. Kent has been a prosecutor since January 1998.
Prior to his promotion to Deputy District Attorney in January 2007, Kent specialized in firearms and multi-defendant gang investigations. He also specialized in domestic violence prosecutions. Kent was elected Milwaukee County District Attorney in 2024.
Kent is the president-elect of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. He currently serves as past president of the board of directors for MKE Urban Stables. He also serves as vice-president of the board of directors for Urban Ecology Center. Kent was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of the American Prosecutors Association.
Kent is a past president of the board of directors for Sojourner Family Peace Center, a board he served on for twenty years. He is also a past president of the board of directors of Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs, and served for four years on the board of directors of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Greater Milwaukee.
