About Supervisor Sky
Supervisor Sky Z. Capriolo was elected to her first term in 2024. This is her first time in elected office. While she is new to living in Milwaukee, she is no stranger to the state of Wisconsin. She grew up in the Minneapolis suburbs and attended school at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. It's there that she met her future husband in their broadcast journalism class. They both landed their first TV jobs at WBAY in Green Bay and enjoyed four years working there, covering the Packers' back-to-back Super Bowl seasons!
They moved to the Chicago area in 1999, where Sky continued being a TV news reporter for a few years before deciding to leave the business to raise their two children, Sidra and Zalen. Throughout her time in Illinois, she was an active volunteer for the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, two PTAs, and the High School Boosters Club, to name a few. Her family also fostered 12 dogs through a rescue group and, for the last several years, have been instrumental in the fundraising event for UPS for DownS, a support group for families with children who have Down Syndrome. Sky also often would volunteer her time taking photos at all sorts of sporting and school events and sharing them with other families.
Sky's husband, Tony Capriolo, took a job in Milwaukee in 2022, moving the family back to his hometown. Most of his extended family also lives in the city or suburbs. Their son lives with them while working full-time at Mitchell International Airport and doing drill weekends with the 128th Refueling Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard. Their daughter is a PhD student at the University of Alabama studying Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Law.
Sky is the Senior Marketing Manager & Brand Ambassador for a Chicago-based incentive company, Motivation Excellence. 2024 marks her 13th year with this tight-knit group. Sky also continues working for PBS in Chicago as a Pledge Drive Host several times a year, which gives her the opportunity to do something she loves: working on live TV broadcasts, while raising money for a great public service.
Sky loves taking her rescue Airedale, Hercules, for walks along the lakefront and through our beautiful county parks. She and Tony have just taken up pickleball and joined the WAC, so watch out for them on the courts! Sky is excited to be representing District 15 and looks forward to being a team player on the County Board.
