MCDOT’s Director’s Office oversees the department’s five divisions; coordinates transportation planning; and manages key state and federal programs.
As part of its mission to deliver a safe, fiscally secure, reliable, transportation system, the Office leads special projects that enhance public safety, improve infrastructure, and support community needs for the travelling public.
Collaboration is key to acheiving the department’s goals. The Director’s Office works closely with local governments, community partners, and other Milwaukee County departments during policy development, project design, and program support and implementation for bicycle and pedestrian projects, bridges, and railroad crossings.
