Vision Zero

Zero Fatalities and Serious Injuries on All Roadways in Milwaukee County by 2037

Milwaukee County’s Complete Communities Transportation Planning Project has an ambitious goal of zero fatalities and serious injuries on all roadways in Milwaukee County by 2037. This means that the countywide Safe Streets Action Plan and each municipality’s Action Plan will incorporate Vision Zero principles, a Safe Systems Approach solutions to slow automobile traffic speeds. Together, along with other important aspects of Vision Zero like Driver Assistance Systems, Alcohol Detection Systems, Modal Shift and improved Emergency Response, we can save more lives on Milwaukee County roadways every year.
