MILWAUKEE, WI – The following is the statement of Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley with regard to the White House announcement that President Biden will nominate Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett as the next ambassador to Luxembourg: “Congratulations to Mayor Tom Barrett on his nomination to become the next U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg. Mayor Barrett and his administration have been key partners over the last year as we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic and worked to keep residents safe.
“The Mayor is a proven leader who will bring the same level of passion and commitment to representing the United States abroad as he did for years as one of the nation’s longest-serving big-city mayors.
