Milwaukee County Litter Pickup

The MCDOT Highway Maintenance Division provides litter pickup services once per year on state and county highways. This service is contracted by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) as part of a maintenance agreement. 

Each spring, litter pickup is scheduled once snow has melted and the ground has thawed enough to collect roadway debris.

Working Together to Keep the County Beautiful

The best way to keep our community beautiful and litter-free is to properly dispose of garbage and recyclables. Waste that is not placed in garbage bins can blow onto our roads.
