Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley Recognizes September as Suicide Prevention Month
MILWAUKEE – County Executive David Crowley has proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Month, highlighting the County’s dedication to addressing mental health challenges through expanding programs, resources, and services. This month serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about suicide prevention and emphasize the importance of accessible mental health care for all residents.
“Expanding access to mental health services has been a cornerstone of our mission to achieve racial equity and ensure Milwaukee County becomes the healthiest community in Wisconsin,” said County Executive Crowley. “Suicide Prevention Month reminds us of the importance of providing mental health services and resources in ensuring every resident has access to the support they need. By continuing to innovate and expand these services, we can save lives and create a stronger, healthier community.”
