Voter Photo ID Required
A photo ID is required to receive a ballot in all Wisconsin elections. This law applies to voters at polling places and most absentee voters. For more information, visit Bring It to the Ballot.
Free ID & Identification Card Petition Process (IDPP)
You can obtain a free State of Wisconsin ID card or document that can be used for voting, even without a birth certificate or other documentation. The document is valid for 60 days. Information is available at the WI DMV or call (844) 588-1069.
