Milwaukee City-County Joint Taskforce to Address the Food Access Crisis

Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee are working together to address food access challenges and advance solutions that help ensure residents can access fresh, healthy, and affordable food.

The task force was created through legislation authored by Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson-Bovell, adopted by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, and signed by County Executive David Crowley. It will bring together community leaders, advocates, and food-system partners to identify barriers to food access, meaningfully guide policy, and develop coordinated, long-term solutions that strengthen food access across Milwaukee.

About the Membership Application

This application is for appointments to the Milwaukee County portion of the joint task force. The City of Milwaukee will conduct its own appointment process for its members as part of this intergovernmental partnership.

Community members, nonprofits, cooperatives, advocates, food-focused businesses, and others with relevant expertise, community connections, or lived experience are encouraged to apply. The application will help Milwaukee County identify members who bring diverse perspectives and can meaningfully guide the task force’s policy recommendations and long-term solutions.
