Visit an Occupant

Onsite and Offsite Visits

We encourage occupants to maintain ties with their families and the community through visits with family, friends, attorneys and other professionals. The Milwaukee County Jail allows for onsite visits and offsite visits via video.

  • Onsite visits are free. The jail is located at 949 N. 9th Street, Milwaukee.
  • Offsite visits are $.65 per minute plus $1 service fee. The account is set up through PayPal.

All visits are monitored and recorded. Personal recording of visits is strictly prohibited and will result in the permanent loss of all visiting privileges to any occupant in the Milwaukee County Jail.

Milwaukee County is upgrading its video visitation system. Users will not be able to make and receive video calls through July 11. We encourage you to create a new account and schedule visits for after July 11. As part of this equipment upgrade, new tablets will be provided, which will allow access to educational and entertainment for occupants. Thank you for your patience.
