Captain Briggs

Captain Colin Briggs

Deputy Field inspector

Captain Colin Briggs was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office in January 2002. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2008, to Lieutenant in 2010 and to Captain in October 2010. 

Captain Briggs is also a member of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, appointed in February 2006, and a member of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

Captain Briggs graduated from the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command in March 2016 and holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UW-Milwaukee. Captain Briggs has also served our nation as a Combat Advisor during two tours in Iraq and obtained certification in Counter Insurgency Operations.

Captain Burmeister

Captain Debra Burmeister

Law Enforcement Analytics

Captain Debra Burmeister was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in April 1998. She has served in several capacities in several divisions. Currently Captain Burmeister is assigned to the  Law Enforcement Analytics Division.

Captain Burmeister graduated from the Northwest School of Police and Command in 2014 and holds a bachelor's degree from the UW-Milwaukee.Captain Burmeister has completed the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy program.

Captain Hodel

Captain Jason Hodel

Administration-Internal Affairs

Captain Hodel was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in April 2001. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2010, to the rank of Lieutenant in 2012 and to the rank of Captain in 2017. He is currently assigned to the Administrative Services Bureau - Internal Affairs Division.

Captain Hodel supervisory experience includes assignments to the Airport Division, Patrol Division and Targeted Enforcement Unit.

Captain Hodel completed his undergraduate studies at the UW-Green Bay, earning a bacholor's degree in social change and development: criminal justice. Captain Hodel is currently pursuing graduate studies at the UW-Milwaukee.

Captain Dittberner

Captain Daniel Dittberner

Targeted Inforcement Unit

Captain Daniel Dittberner was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s as a Deputy Sheriff in April 1997. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in May 2011 and Captain in April 2017, which is his current rank.

Captain Dittberner has worked in several assignments as a Deputy Sheriff to include the Milwaukee County Jail and the Patrol Division. He worked as a Detective in the Gun Reduction Interdiction Program (GRIP) and as a Patrol Supervisor assigned to Expressway Patrol Operations. Captain Dittberner is a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team, appointed in January 2001.

Captain Dittberner currently holds an associate's degree in criminal justice. Captain Dittberner served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division during the Persian Gulf War. Captain Dittberner currently serves as assistant Commander at the Milwaukee County Jail.

Captain Holton

Captain Douglas Holton

Polices Services-Courts

Captain Douglas Holton Jr. was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in January 2003. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in March 2009, Lieutenant in February 2011 and Captain in June 2014.

Captain Holton has worked as a Deputy Sheriff in the Courts and Airport divisions. He also worked as a Sergeant in the Airport Division and as a Lieutenant in the Internal Affairs Division. Captain Holton is currently assigned to the Courts Division. He holds a bachelor's degree from the UW-Milwaukee in criminal justice. 

Captain Rewolinski

Captain Michael Rewolinski

Detention Services

Captain M. Rewolinski was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in May 1993. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal in June of 1996 and Sergeant in June of 2000. On March 8, 2007, he was promoted to Captain. He has  served as a supervisor at the Airport and Detention Bureau. Rewolinski has been assigned to the Patrol Division as a Deputy Sheriff as well in the Criminal Investigation Division as a Detective in the Financial Crimes Unit.

Captain Rewolinski attended Marquette University. He received training in the investigation of Deadly Force, Disruptive Threat Groups and Law Enforcement Criminal Intelligence.

Captain Thompson

Captain Paul Thompson

Criminal Investigations

Captain Thompson was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in January 2000.  He was promoted to Sergeant in 2009, Lieutenant in 2011 and Captain in September 2017.

Captain Thompson is a member of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team, appointed February 2006. Captain Thompson holds a bachelor's degree in english from Tulane University, and is working toward a master's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Lieutenant Thompson is a former N.B.A. basketball player, who played with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Captain Trimboli

Captain Catherine Trimboli

Patrol Division

Captain Catherine Trimboli was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in April 1996. She was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in August of 2008, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in October of 2009, and in November of 2010, she was promoted to the rank of Captain.

Captain Trimboli has attended numerous law enforcement training programs, including the International Chiefs of Police, Leadership in Police Organizations course and the Northwestern University Executive Management Program. Captain Trimboli is a 2010 graduate of Marquette University’s Future Milwaukee Leadership Program.

Captain Witek

Captain Mark Witek

Police Services-Airport

Captain Witek was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in April 1996 . He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 2009, Lieutenant in January 2011    and Captain in April 2015.

His previous assignments include Detention Services Bureau where he was assigned to various positions including the Central Intake Unit and the District Attorney's Office Liaison. He has also worked in the Police Services Bureau / Airport Division where he was a member of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Bicycle Patrol Unit.  Currently, Captain Witek serves as the Airport Divisional Commander.

Captain Wronski

Captain Sarah Wronski

Training Academy

Captain Sarah Wronski was appointed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office in April 1997. She was promoted to Sergeant in 2009 and Captain in 2017.

Captain Wronski is currently assigned as the Training Director at the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy where she oversees all of the MCSO’s training program for new hires in law enforcement and corrections as well as training for over 600 current staff. Captain Wronski is certified by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Bureau (LESB). Captain Wronski is certified by the Force Science Research Institute on Use of Force Analysis. Captain Wronski serves on the Wisconsin LESB Tactical Advisory Committee, advising on law enforcement training curriculum for all Wisconsin law enforcement academies. 

Captain Wronski completed her undergraduate studies at Marian University earning a bachelor's degree in administration of justice.
