Public Notice of Intent – Re-Imagining Sherman Park Environmental Review

On or about April 7th, 2025, Milwaukee County will submit a request to the Milwaukee HUD Field Office for the release of Community Project Funding (“CPF”) funds under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 Public Law Number 118-42, to undertake a project known as “Re-Imagining-Sherman-Park” for the purpose of supporting maintenance upgrades, rehabilitation & improvements, as well as redevelopment and new construction to and for Milwaukee County’s Sherman Park landscapes and features, and the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club facilities within it, providing $724,834. The project is to be located at 3001 N 41st St, Milwaukee, WI 53210.

 

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the ERR to Connor Goggans at [email protected], by calling 414-639-4543, or by submitting directly at the Milwaukee County Housing Services Office. All comments received by April 7th, 2025 will be considered by Milwaukee County prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds. Comments should specify which Notice they are addressing.

Lifeguard Training Open Now!

Three in-water training sessions are now open for registration! To qualify for training, you must be at least 16 years old by the time of hire, able to swim 100 meters in 1 minute 45 seconds or less, and be in good physical condition.

Trail Projects Public Input Campaign

The Trail Projects Campaign encourages active participation from the local community in the planning, development, and maintenance of the trails to ensure that the expansion of trails meets the needs and desires of trail users. Provide your feedback in our forum space as to where you would like to see the Milwaukee County Parks trail system grow over the next 2 years or pin out on a map where you would like to see a trail constructed.
