Located in historic Kosciuszko Park, the Kosciuszko Community Center serves Milwaukee's south side; offering a wide variety fitness, recreation, and programming opportunities to area residents.

Sports & Fitness


Fitness Center & Weight Room

Members have access to free weights, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, tread mills, weight & strength machines . Instruction on proper use of equipment when staff is available

Adults: available during all building hours
Youths Age 15 & Up: Mon.-Fri. 3-8 p.m.
Children under 15 are NOT allowed in the Weight Room at any time


WOMEN-ONLY Weight Room 

A space just for women, with free weights, exercise bikes, elliptical machines, tread mills, weight & strength machines and steps. Instruction on proper use of equipment when staff is available.

Adults: available during all building hours
Youths Age 15 & Up: Mon.-Fri. 3-8 p.m.
Children under 15 are NOT allowed in the Women-Only Weight Room at any time



From September to May the gym is available for Open Gym Basketball or for indoor walking.

Adults: M–F 10 a.m.–3 p.m. 
Youths Age 15 & Up: Mon.-Fri. 3-8 p.m.

Walking Hours
Adults: M–F 8-10 a.m
Youths Age 15 & Up: Mon.-Fri. 3-8 p.m.

Boxing Rink

The boxing area includea a 20'x20' boxing rink, heavy bags, speed bags and a double-end bag. Bring your own boxing gloves, mouth guard and hand wraps.

Open Boxing
Adults M–F 8 a.m.–5 p.m., additional time may be available after 7 p.m.
           Sat. 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Youth Boxing Instruction  (Age 8-17)
M-F 5-7 p.m.
Youth are given basic boxing instruction and may participate in tournaments.

Add'l Fees: additional $50 includes USA Boxing insurance, mouthpiece, and hand wraps.
Join classes at any time.


Martial Arts Dojo

The dojo hosts karate and tai chi lessons for youth and adults.

Karate (Age 5–Adult)
Mon. 6–8 p.m.(Sept-May only)
All skill levels are welcome - Join classes at any time.

Add'l Fees: Nominal class fee and a uniform may be required. Additional fees if participating in tournaments

Programs and Partnerships

Through partnerships with area organizations, a variety of enrichment and social activities are available for young people at the Kosciuszko Community Center.


Milwaukee Christian Center

Serving children from age 7-19 with activities from homework and literacy tutoring, to fitness, games, and contests

Summit Education Association

Through tutoring, recreation, personal friendship, and a virtue based character program, Summit fosters relationships between dedicated mentors, parents, and their children in order to encourage intellectual, cultural, and moral growth.

Special Events

Easter Egg-Citement

A fun event for the whole family, including an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter bunny.

Bench Press & Dead Lift Competition

One of the largest lifting contests in the State is held here every March. Lifters compete in their age bracket in deadlift and bench press contests. Awards arepresented to first- through third-place finishers, and medals will be given to fourth- through tenth-place finishers.
