MILWAUKEE COUNTY EXECUTIVE DAVID CROWLEY ATTENDS COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE TO HELP COMBAT BLOOD SHORTAGES
MILWAUKEE – International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 494 will be hosting a community blood drive with the Blood Center of Wisconsin at the IBEW Local 494 Union Hall, 3303 S. 103rd St., Milwaukee on May 7, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
“Blood donation is needed at any point of the year, but especially now during this public health crisis, ” County Executive Crowley said. “Blood, plasma and platelet donations save lives. I am glad to give blood today to highlight the need of more blood donors during this unprecedented time.”
“Blood donations have decreased due to the pandemic and typically decrease during the summer months, so we need your help to get a head start since summer is an unusually slow time for blood donations,” said Dean A. Warsh, IBEW Local 494 Business Manager. “IBEW Local 494 is proud to partner with the Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin to help keep blood supplies at a safe level. I encourage anyone who can give blood to consider doing so as part of our blood drive.”All attempting donors will get a $4 off $10 purchase at Noodles & Co. coupon.
