Fireworks Return to Milwaukee's Lakefront on July 3rd

MILWAUKEE, WI – The Milwaukee County Parks are thrilled to announce the event details for the highly anticipated July 3rd fireworks display, generously presented by American Family Insurance, J&M Displays, the Milwaukee Parks Foundation, and T&M Partners.

“American Family Insurance is a proud supporter of the city of Milwaukee and pleased to return as a sponsor of the popular lakefront fireworks,” said Leana Nakielski, American Family community, and social impact director. “We’re excited to help continue this much-loved summer tradition and bring our community members together for a fun celebration.”

The July 3rd display, which attracts over 100,000 people to Milwaukee’s lakefront, is an over 50-year tradition. On Monday, July 3, the 30-minute fireworks display will begin around 9:30 pm.

"We are excited to see the fireworks bring the community into parks again this year. We hope this opportunity inspires residents to visit their parks and enjoy year-round events and programming," said Rebecca Stoner, Executive Director of Milwaukee Parks Foundation.

“Milwaukee’s fireworks are a wonderful tradition and an integral part of our exciting 4th of July celebration.  Mary and I and the Kelben Foundation are pleased to play a role in celebrating America!” said Ted and Mary Kellner of T&M Partners.

Community members are invited to return to Veterans Park for the best viewing locations.

"Our Parks System is a hidden gem that we’re lucky to have to have in Milwaukee County and I look forward to seeing families throughout the county, and visitors from all over the region, fill Veterans Park to take part in this annual summer celebration,” said County Executive David Crowley. “The key to our success in Milwaukee County is strong partnerships that help us best serve our residents. Thank you to all of this year’s sponsors for helping make this year’s event possible.”

Parking operations at the lakefront will begin at 6 a.m. on July 3rd. Parking will be cash only. All lots can be accessed from Lincoln Memorial Drive and are first come, first served. Early arrival is encouraged to guarantee your parking spot. There are no in-out privileges once a vehicle enters the grounds. No overnight parking is allowed. All vehicles are asked to leave the grounds after the fireworks display has concluded.

"You and your family are cordially invited to the upcoming fireworks display at Veterans Park," says Parks Executive Director, Guy Smith. "Thanks again to our generous sponsors American Family Insurance, The Milwaukee Parks Foundation, and T&M Partners. Additionally, we have collaborated with the City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, and United States Coast Guard to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for families."
