County Executive David Crowley Announces Five 2023 Budget Town Halls

MILWAUKEE, WI – Today, County Executive David Crowley announced Milwaukee County will hold four in-person town halls on the 2023 budget and one virtual town hall. Milwaukee County Budget Town Halls are the opportunity for residents to hear about our vision and mission, get connected to key resources, and share their thoughts regarding the budget.

“I’m excited to announce four in-person budget town halls after relying on virtual outreach for the last two budgets due to the pandemic. Town Halls are a great way for the community to engage in the budget process and express their budget priorities. They are also a fantastic way for our administration officials to learn what residents need and how we can best meet those needs,” said County Executive David Crowley. “Residents should save these dates in August and make a plan to participate in the budget process either in-person or virtually and make their voices heard.”

Residents can register to attend any of the five town halls at In addition to budget presentations, each in-person town hall will include a resource fair where residents can connect with County departments to access available services and inquire about employment opportunities.

“In addition to engaging with residents on the budget, we are once again taking the opportunity to bring the County’s resources to the doorstep of the community,” concluded Crowley. Whether you’re interested in critical services or want to answer the call to be a Changemaker and join Milwaukee County as an employee, our town halls will provide a forum to field your inquiries.”

The 2023 Budget Town Halls come on the heels of the launch of Balancing Act, an interactive online tool simulating the process to balance the 2023 budget. Residents will have until August 26 to submit feedback on via the Balancing Act tool.
