DOT Liasion

The Communications Division of the Special Operations Bureau maintains an on-going relationship with Wisconsin Department of Transportation in an effort to promote the efficient and safe flow of traffic on the Milwaukee County freeway system. The liaison is an active member of a number of committees and task forces involving projects instrumental in informing motorists of hazardous conditions and travel delays. The Sheriff's Office liaison is participating in the implementation of a project to share traffic flow information between computer systems via a fiber optic line.
