To ensure that Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms are afforded a level playing field in participating on all Milwaukee County procurements, the Community Business Development Partners department (CBDP) monitors contracts and enforces Milwaukee County ordinances, in regards to DBE involvement. To assure this is done, CBDP reviews, signs-off on, monitors, and audits DBE participation on all Milwaukee County contracts. When and where necessary, various enforcement mechanisms are employed to mitigate the potential for fraud and/or violation of these contract specifications.
In addition to these activities, CBDP also works to educate, and partner with, all stakeholders concerning the development and implementation of the processes and procedures through which Milwaukee County's DBE Program operates.
