What will the different Avatar and Provider Connect trainings cover, and which should I attend?

BHD-CARS has begun scheduling training sessions for Avatar and Provider Connect end users prior to "Go Live" on September 1 October 1. Scheduling communications are directed to the designated "Super Users" at each partner organization, and the following descriptions should help users choose the appropriate training module.

Avatar for Access Points and Care Management

A series of trainings are scheduled here for providers who will the need to utilize Avatar within the roles that are performed for BHD. The trainings will be a combination of BHD-CARS policies and procedures that are to be supported by Avatar and/or Provider Connect and the impact and change from current functions utilized within CMHC. These trainings are led by CARS Subject Matter Experts (Service Managers) and consultants from The Joxel Group.

The session will include training on utilizing the new CARS Assessment which is part of our placement decision making process. Will also cover provider selection and service authorization issuance.
