Bulletin #2 (10/21/14)
Avatar Transition Bulletin #2
Tuesday, October 21, 2014
We have experienced delays with configuration of Phase 3 and are awaiting the development of some necessary components related to Provider Connect. These delays have necessitated the postponement of our Go-Live date to early January 2015.
User Acceptance testing in November
The CARS Division is completing its initial configuration of the Avatar system, and we will soon begin User Acceptance (UA) testing to ensure optimal functioning of the system and to troubleshoot any problems prior to implementation. UA testing will involve a small, representative sample of various service providers, both internally and externally. Participating providers will be notified by October 24, and the testing will take place throughout November.
Avatar & Provider Connect training in
mid November December (see Bulletin #3)
UA training is a precursor to broader Avatar and Provider Connect training that will take place later in November and continue into December. Training will be organized around particular service arrays, responsibilities, and workflows, meaning that there will not be a single, unified training curriculum. Rather, providers will receive targeted invitations to specific training sessions based on their roles and responsibilities in relation to the CARS Division.
