Employee Development

At Milwaukee County:

We believe career progression means more than simply working toward the next job:

IT MEANS:

  • Exploring your options and developing a plan toward achieving your personal career goals.

  • Gaining knowledge and developing the skills you need to reach those goals.

  • And sometimes, it means knowing where to find help, tools, or support.

We encourage all employees to give some thought to what’s next for you

– what you would like to strive for in your career.

Development Plan:

  • The first step in this process is setting your development priorities- targeting the priorities that will help you to achieve the best results.

  • Once you have identified  areas you would like to work on, you can develop a plan to help you get there.

  • We encourage you to review your plan with your manager, who can provide support and help you reach your goals.
