2011 HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION REPORT

Road construction in the 18th District will be minimal this year, where the only major project on a County or State road is on Mill Road.  Both the 43rd to 56th Street segment and the 84th to 91st Street stretch are scheduled for completion by Labor Day.

The County Highway Department has taken steps to ensure that this year, unlike 2009, the contracting company hired to do the Mill Road construction has the resources to complete it on time.
