The Picnic Season runs May 1 through Oct. 15
Picnics in the Parks are a Milwaukee County tradition. There are literally hundreds of free locations for you to spread out a blanket for your small picnic outing that does not include any of the conditions below.
A Picnic Permit is REQUIRED if your picnic includes any of the following:
Reservable Picnic Areas/Permits Prime picnic sites go quickly, so plan ahead! For your company picnic or family get-together, ensure that your ideal picnic site will be available by reserving the site with a permit. A minimum 7-day notice to process and/or change a permit is suggested. A Park Manager must approve any permits requested in less than 7 days and approval is not guaranteed.
In January, we begin taking your reservations for most sites through Oct. 15 of the following year. For example, On Jan. 3, 2018, we will take your reservation for Oct. 15, 2019.
Moonwalks, Bounce Houses, Inflatable Structures Inflatable structures are allowed in reserved designated picnic sites when the following conditions are met:
Fourth of July Picnics No reservations are taken for July 4th. On this holiday, picnic sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Amplified music or DJ equipment of any kind is NOT allowed in picnic areas unless noted
