South Shore Park: North Parking Lot Closure
For public safety, the contractor has closed the North Parking Lot. In addition, barricades have been placed at Iron Street. Public access remains available to the South Parking Lot. A path will be created and signed for pedestrians to access the Yacht Club. Construction is scheduled to be substantially complete and the lot reopened by early July.
Temporary Trail Detours
During Zoo-Interchange Project
Please follow detour signage for segments of the Hank Aaron State Trail (closed through Summer '18), as well as segments of the Oak Leaf Trail and Deer Creek Trail (temporary alternating closures through Fall '17). Closures are due to the reconstruction of the I-94 bridge over Underwood Creek.
Forestry Work & Construction:
Work to improve safety along the OLT will involve intermittent closures of trail segments with minor rerouting. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO POSTED SIGNAGE
Parks with Purpose
This Parks campaign brings together two major planning efforts: the 10-Year Parks Master Plan and the 2050 Park & Open Space Plan. The Department is engaging the community in the process.
Lake Park Bridge and Ravine Road
The Lake Park bridge above Ravine Road is open to pedestrian-only traffic. Ravine Road is closed until further notice.

Ravine Restoration in Warnimont Park
On the east side of South Lake Drive, north of Ramsey, restoration work is expected to be completed in 2018. Please stay out of areas where vegetation is being established.
