The Great Train Robbery - Garden Train Show at The Domes  - FINAL WEEK!
See G-scale trains on four sets of tracks crisscrossing the miniaturized landscape of the Wild West. The show will be on view through April 2 in the Show Dome of the Mitchell Park Domes

Temporary Trail Detours
During Zoo-Interchange Project

Please follow detour signage for segments of the Hank Aaron State Trail (closed through Summer '18), as well as segments of the Oak Leaf Trail and Deer Creek Trail (temporary alternating closures through Fall '17). Closures are due to the reconstruction of the I-94 bridge over Underwood Creek.
During Installation of Storm Sewer Outfall in Hart Park
Beginning 3/28/17, please follow detour signage when on the Oak Leaf Trail near Wauwatosa's Hart Park. The detour is expected to continue for about two months.

  Dog Exercise Area Closure

Runway Dog Exercise Area Closure
The DEA will be closed for airport maintenance work April 4 and will reopen at 6:15 a.m. on April 5. The rain date for the closure is April 6. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please visit one of the other DEAs

 

Forestry Work & Construction:  
Work to improve safety along the OLT will involve intermittent closures of trail segments with minor rerouting.

This Parks campaign brings together two major planning efforts: the 10-Year Parks Master Plan and the 2050 Park & Open Space Plan. The Department is engaging the community in the process. 

 

Lake Park Bridge and Ravine Road
The Lake Park bridge above Ravine Road is open to pedestrian-only traffic. Ravine Road is closed until further notice.

Ravine Restoration in Warnimont Park
On the east side of South Lake Drive, north of Ramsey, restoration work has been completed. Please stay out of areas where vegetation is being established.

Bridge Recontruction in Whitnall Park
Two parkway bridges on either side of College Ave (just west of 92 St) are under construction. Please follow detour signs. All areas of the Park/Botanical Gardens remain accessible.
