The Parks Administration Building is accessible from Discovery Parkway, the north/south road running between Watertown Plank Road and Swan Boulevard. GPS units may not reflect the new access. Read more about the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Zoo Interchange Project.

Natural Areas Field Trips
Natural Areas staff will be leading a series of field trips exploring the park system from April–November, 2015. Through the series, participants will have the opportunity to accompany staff along the Forked Aster Hiking Trail System, through hotspots for warblers and wildflowers, and off the beaten path to discover the ecology of natural areas. Participants will also have the opportunity to work alongside staff on wildlife research projects.

I-794 Eastbound Exit Ramp to Lincoln Memorial Drive Closed through Fall 2015
As part of the Hoan Bridge project, the exit ramp to Lincoln Memorial Drive will be closed. The LMD southbound entrance ramp to I-794 East (Southbound) will also close during this time.

Milwaukee River Parkway Closure
In Lincoln Park

Milwaukee River Parkway will be closed from Mon., Nov. 3 through Spring of 2015. The Parkway will be closed to traffic from Hampton Avenue to Lawn Avenue, with local access to residences south of Lawn. See the map for details

As part of the construction on the Menomonee River Parkway, parking for the Currie Park Dog Exercise Area will only be available in the lot off of Capitol Dr. during construction.


Lake Park Bridge and Ravine Road Closures
Beginning Mon., Dec. 8, 2014,  The Lake Park bridge above Ravine Road and Ravine Road will be closed for maintenance. Watch this page for updates.

Menomonee River Parkway Closure at Church Street
The Parkway will be closed for up to one week for sewer work and pavement repair, beginning Wednesday, April 15. A detour will be posted rerouting traffic to 76 Street and North Avenue. Soccer at The Gully and other fields or rental facilities east of Swan Boulebard can be accessed from the west.
